The electric drive system consists of a generator set, a converter cabinet, a braking resistor, a traction motor and wheel-side reducer, as well as an auxiliary fan. The main generator has two sets of main windings and one set of auxiliary windings output to the converter cabinet. The converter cabinet integrates a main rectifier, an auxiliary rectifier, two sets of IGBT inverters (with chopping), two sets of auxiliary inverters, a generator excitation control unit and a drive control unit.
